Pragyaa

Pragyaa is the national level technical festival conducted by , India, started in 2005. The 2008 edition showed participation from Oman in a Blogging Competition - SCI-FI.
The college has its own rock band that plays its own compositions. Evenings are illuminated with crackers. Technical/animated movies are screened in the lounge on a 12 ft x 16 ft background. Pragyaa showcases talent from all walks of engineering.
History
A group of third year students planned the event in October 2004, and ran its first edition in April 2005 which saw around 300 participants from around India. Prof Vishwanathan Mohan, who was then with the Electronics and Telecommunication department, headed the organising team of the event. Though, the idea first faced some resistance from the management, a moral and financial support from Baba Kalyani, of Bharat Forge gave the first boost to the concept. Thought, the first year of Pragyaa, was not easy as it was thought, it did made the students believe that a college, which is physically away from the centres of academics, can do wonders if people come together. Today, as it was conceptualized by the first organising team, the event is one of the most important platforms for students in Marathwada and Vidarbha.
