Matty Amendola

Matty Amendola is an American producer / songwriter. He performed as a bass player in the Classic Futures. He also performs as a studio musician, professional drummer, and has released two solo albums.
Life and career
Early life
Amendola was born and raised, and currently resides, in Brooklyn, NY. He started playing drums at age 5, following the lead of his father, Billy Amendola, who had three top 10 Billboard hits with his band Mantus in the late 1970s. At a very young age, Amendola was exposed to the New York City club scene as well as the New York City studio scene. Notable jam sessions at clubs such as The Cutting Room and The Bitter End and trade shows for the gave Amendola the opportunity to share the stage with many well-known musicians and artists at a young age.
As a teenager, Amendola worked as a studio musician and toured the United States with multiple shows and bands. He also started playing other instruments such as guitar and bass, which lead him to the production and songwriting side of the creative process. In addition to co-writing and co-producing their debut album "Another Way," he performed with them on MTV's "TRL" and toured the Northeast. After playing shows for Live Nation and going into the studio with engineer Jay Messina for their second album, the Classic Futures disbanded in 2008.
Session Work & Production
In 2008, Amendola began recording and producing his own solo material, as well as producing other young artists. Taking over his father’s studio with Grammy Award-winning engineer Butch Jones, Amendola produced more independent artists, while playing drums in recording sessions and live shows.
