Evander Earl Andrews
Evander Earl Andrews, 36, of Solon, ME was an US Air Force Master Sergeant killed in an accident in Qatar October 10, 2001. He was the first US Servicemember killed in Operation Enduring Freedom.He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. His job was a 3E2x1 pavements and construction equipment operator. He was killed doing dump truck tail gate removal when the tail gate got stuck. He peeked his head in between the bed and the tailgate to see what was stopping the tail gate from closing all the way. Right then the object got dislodged and the tail gate snapped closed killing him instantly. Any time someone talks about Andy's house they are talking about the base he was killed at.
