TrueShip
TrueShip is a Scottsdale, Arizona, based software development company. TrueShip makes a software suite called ReadyShipper, an integrated shipping software that is designed to work with most major ecommerce platforms, in addition to also working in tandem with various order management and accounting systems. ReadyShipper enables end users to compare aggregate shipping rates between the three major U.S. carriers, which include Federal Express, the United States Postal Service and UPS United Parcel Service. The software is designed to enable end users to print shipping labels for all U.S. shipping carriers from one system, while also enabling users to import and export shipping and customer data, to and from their elected systems, in addition to allowing users to also update shipping status and update tracking information.
History
ReadyShipper was first released in 2006 by TrueShip, LLC, a Scottsdale, Arizona, based software company. The initial version was designed to specifically work with UPS. Later, USPS would be added via TrueShip's acquired partnerships with Endicia and Stamps.com. FedEx integration was completed in late 2008 and was released in early 2009. In early 2011, TrueShip would partner with Express 1 to add a direct integration.
Over the next few years that followed, TrueShip developed numerous ecommerce integrations into their software, called ReadyModules, that enabled end users to add more options, which included accounting systems like QuickBooks, and ecommerce integrations that included: Amazon.com, Buy.com (now called Rakuten), BigCommerce, EBay, Etsy, 3dCart, Magento, Network Solutions, PayPal, Rakuten, Shopify, Shopsite, Volusion, WooCommerce, and others. The company also developed integrations for order management systems, including: ChannelAdvisor and OrderMotion.
In 2013, TrueShip launched a cloud-based platform, called ReadyCloud, enabling end users to back-up their shipping data to the cloud as a disaster recovery method in addition to offering ReadyShipper users online visibility and reporting.
ReadyShipper is currently in its seventh version, v. 7.2.2.
Features
ReadyShipper was designed to also integrate with discount postage providers, via partnerships the company acquired, including: Endicia, Stamps.com and Express 1.
TrueShip works with developer integrations by offering an API that can be used to develop custom integrations for their preferred ecommerce systems. TrueShip also works with its ecommerce partners to develop custom API integrations to and from the platforms that are offered as available integrations to ReadyShipper.
