The Fallen: 2012

The Fallen: 2012 is an psychological/suspense thriller directed by Brad Grimm, and Produced by Pittsburgh based Mind Seed Pictures. The film is a time piece revolving around the 2012 Doomsday Prediction and centers on one man's personal struggles to survive in a changed world. Production for The Fallen: 2012 is expected to be completed near the end of 2009, and is slated for release early in 2010
Production
Most of the production for the Fallen: 2012, was completed by independent production company, Mind Seed Productions, in and around the Pittsburgh region, with many post-apocalyptic and desolate shots filmed in South Western New York, and Presque Isle at Lake Erie; most of the filming took place during dusk, dawn or night. <ref name="harris"/>
White Buffalo
Filming of The Fallen: 2012 was partly inspired by interest of a White buffalo born in Farmington Pennsylvania during November 2006. Many Native American spiritual leaders believe that the birth of a white buffalo symbolizes a forthcoming "warning", to makind, and Director Brad Grimm has been quoted as describing the birth as "one of many 'freaky' occurrences" that has taken place during and around the filming of The Fallen: 2012. In reference to the birth, Grimm has stated that "something about what we are doing is on the right track," and filming of the White Buffalo nevertheless, took place for thematic purposes, and foreshadowing, it was completed earlier this year. <ref name="harris"/>
Months later, a black buffalo was also born in Framington PA, symbolising that the creator "had given up on humanity," adding to the list of "Freaky Occurrences that production had revolved around.
Release
The Fallen: 2012 was originally expected to be released during or around January of 2010, filming is expected to be completed during the spring of 2009
