The Development Cafe

The Development Cafe is an international network of Development Professionals. Its registered as a non profit organization in the Republic of Kenya with virtual presence in multiple countries across the globe. The Development CAFE Started as a Yahoo Group in 2001 and now operates as a think tank. As an NGO it has 4 units, Programs Unit, ICT4D Unit, Research for Development Unit and Livelihoods Unit. The CAFE runs a Journal called The Development Review (www.thedevelopmentreview.org)and also hosts the Livelihoods Strategies portal an open source knowledge sharing platform (www.livelihoodstrategies.org). In addition the CAFE also runs the Global Sociology network. (www.sociologynetwork.org)
