The Texas Business Organizations Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature to regulate the types of businesses incorporated in the state (including for-profit companies and non-profit corporations), business registration, and corporate mergers among other things. The code was enacted in 2003 by HB 1156, 78th R.S. during the ongoing revision process begun in 1963.
