Tahlita Buethke
Tahlita Buethke (born 23 January 2002) is an Australian rules footballer currently playing for the Norwood Football Club in the South Australian National Football League Women's (SANFLW) competition. Known for her athleticism, endurance, and versatility, Buethke has emerged as a standout performer across multiple SANFLW seasons.
Early life and background
Buethke grew up in South Australia and was an accomplished netballer before turning her focus to Australian rules football. She played both sports concurrently for a time, showcasing a high level of commitment and athletic versatility.
SANFLW career
South Adelaide (2020-2022)
Buethke began her SANFLW career with South Adelaide in 2020. Over three seasons, she played 28 games and established herself as a reliable and hard-running midfielder with strong tackling ability.
Norwood (2023-present)
Ahead of the 2023 season, Buethke signed with Norwood, where she quickly became an integral part of the team’s midfield group. She capped off a standout debut season by winning the club’s Best and Fairest award, polling 240 votes—65 clear of the next closest player. That year, she averaged 17.5 disposals, 3 marks, 4 tackles, and 1.5 clearances per game.
In 2024, she reached her 50-game SANFLW milestone and earned selection in The Advertiser SANFLW Team of the Year for the second straight season, this time named at half-back.
Playing style
