Steven R. Bangerter
Steven R. Bangerter has been a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since March 31, 2018.
Bangerter received a bachelor's degree in religious studies from Arizona State University in 1989, and a ] from the Western State University College of Law in 1993. In 1993, he began his legal career with the Cooksey, Toolen, Gage, Duffy & Woog in Costa Mesa, California. After 10 years he became a managing partner for Bangerter Frazier & Graff, PC. The focus of his legal career was on representing churches and faith-based organizations.
Before becoming a lawyer, Bangerter was a radiation therapist.
Bangerter has served in numerous callings in the LDS Church, including as an area seventy in the Fifth Quorum of the Seventy in the church's Utah South Area.
