Stephane Kasriel
Stephane Kasriel (born in Paris, France) is an entrepreneur, innovator, tech executive and current CEO of Upwork, the world's largest freelancing website (formerly Elance-oDesk).
Education and career
Kasriel received a MBA from INSEAD, a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science from École Polytechnique.
He is a former executive at PayPal, Work4 and Zong.
Kasriel joined Upwork in June 2012 as Vice President of Product & Engineering. As VP and later SVP of Product & Engineering where he led a team of more than 300 engineers, designers, and programmers.
On April 20, 2015, Kasriel was appointed CEO and led the company through its rebrand to Upwork and the launch of a new freelance platform by the same name.
