Sevan Apollo Poetry is US-based music artist, poet, author, and public speaker.
Early life
Sevan “Apollo” Poetry was born in 1983 in Jerusalem, Israel, to Armenian/Lebanese parents. When he was a toddler, his family immigrated to Bergen County, New Jersey. Apollo began reading at 2 and wrote his first poem at age 9. When financial hardships hit the family in 1999, they lost their home. Apollo then dropped out of high school to pursue his music career full-time.
Poetry and public speaking
As a poet, Apollo represented the Mill's End Poetry Slam team from Tempe, AZ in the National Poetry Slam in Austin, Texas in 2007. Apollo’s work was featured in the Homestead Review and also quoted in the Buddy Wakefield's book, Gentleman Practice. He was the featured poet at the annual Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets conference in 2012.
Film and television
In 2012, Sevan Poetry was a participant in a reality show, ABC’s The Glass House.
