Saurabh Barve born 26 February 1985 in Mumbai is an Indian author of the book 'A Complete repertoire for an attacking player'. He has represented India at Abu Dhabi International Chess Tournament. He has an interenational FIDE rating of 2034 in the game of Chess. He has defeated Grandmaster R.R.Laxman of India both the times he has played against the GM in FIDE rating tournaments. He is the Founder and President of 'Chess Promoters of Mumbai', 'Bobby Fischer Chess Academy' and 'Mir Sultan Khan Chess Club'. He has organised more than 20 Chess Tournaments in Mumbai. He is a Chess Coach. He has completed I.T. Engineering and Marketing MBA in Mumbai. He is Working as a sales executive at Indiamart Intermesh Pvt. Ltd.,Thane.
