Sathwik Rai

Sathwik Rai (born 8 June 1978) is a retired racquetball player from India who played for the Indian racquetball team at two Racquetball World Championships. He captained India at both of them, the 2010 and 2012 World Championships.
Early life and education
Born and raised in Bangalore, India, Sathwik started playing racquetball only after he moved to the US for graduate school at Drexel University in Philadelphia when he was 26 years old. He attended Bishop Cotton Boys' School in Bangalore and is an alumnus of the National Institute of Technology Karnataka and Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. During his school years, Sathwik was a competitive swimmer and represented India at the junior level. Sathwik works as a full-time consultant in the pharmaceutical industry.
Career
India finished 13th overall at both the 2010 and 2012 Racquetball World Championships.
Sathwik played in the Men's Singles at the 2010 edition and made his debut in the World Championships in Seoul against Canadian Kris Odegard, losing against his first opponent. Sathwik finished 29th overall in his debut World Championships in 2010. The 2010 Team India also included Raaj Mohan and Srikaran Kandadai. Sathwik played doubles in the team and individual events at the 2012 World Championships teaming up with Nirup Shetty. Wilson Sporting Goods sponsored Sathwik's racquetball gear.
