Saint-Michel Boulevard () in Montreal is a broad north-south street on the east side of the island of Montreal, Quebec, which crosses a large part of the island of Montreal. Montreal also has a metro station called Saint-Michel
History
This path has an ancient origin. Called Montée Saint-Michel as early as 1707 then Chemin de Saint-Michel or Chemin du Sault, it was the main north-south axis of this sector, leading north to the Côte-Saint-Michel Road (the current Crémazie Boulevard ) and beyond, to Sault-au-Récollet. This Côte was named in honor of Archangel Michael .
The boulevard, officially established in 1938, gave its name to the former municipality (and now Montreal district) of Saint-Michel .
