Ron Hera
Ron Hera is an American financial journalist, public speaker, and private investor in hard assets, natural resources, commodities and precious metals. He is the founder of Hera Research and the principal author of the Hera Research Newsletter. He is a columnist for the investment websites 24hGold and Seeking Alpha. His articles on economics and investments have also appeared in Resource World Magazine, the Prospector, Zero Hedge, King World News, Financial Sense, GoldSeek, Kitco, MineWeb, the Ludwig von Mises Institute, and hundreds of other publications throughout the world. His articles have been translated into more than a dozen languages, including Vietnamese, German, Arabic, Russian, Spanish, and Slovak.

Early life and education
A native of Mountain View, California, Hera earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology with a minor in French literature from Santa Clara University, followed by a master's degree in intellectual history, focusing on the history of science, from Stanford University.
Business career
In the 1980s and 1990s, Hera worked for a number of software companies in Silicon Valley, including Netscape. Hera became a serial entrepreneur and investor in communications software and successfully sold a privately held high tech software startup.
After the dot-com bubble burst in 2000, Hera became an investor in hard assets, natural resources, commodities, and precious metals.
