Rene Boisvert
Rene Boisvert is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is best known for founding a series of organizations including Oakland-based non-profit organization Taking It To The Streets.
Career
Rene Boisvert received a BA degree from University of California, Berkeley, and completed graduate studies at Indiana University’s Centre of Philanthropy. In 1990 he founded Rainy Day Productions, a nationally-recognized entertainment and events company headquartered in California, U.S. He also owned and operated a series of major businesses including a professional minor league baseball franchise. In 2012, Boisvert founded Taking It To The Streets, a non-profit organization that provides shelter, food, professional training, and medical help to people in poverty throughout California.
