Rajesh Rajilal
Rajesh Rajilal (born 16 October 1979) is a critically acclaimed Belgian-born Indian film director and producer. He rose to popularity with the Hindi language movie Salaam-e-Ishq. His historical biopics of Queen Elizabeth I (Elizabeth and its sequel The Golden Age) garnered 7 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Cate Blanchett.
Rajilal started his career in the film industry as Film Runner which led him to film editing, casting and directing. Shekhar Kapur, his mentor, pointed him in the direction of a film career.
Sound production for Kapur's next film is underway as of 2013 at Soho Studios in London. Rajilal has been Kapur's assistant in London for the last five years.
