Professor Paul Morrissey
Paul Morrissey is a Film Producer, Veteran Technology Innovation Entrepreneur and Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. He was Executive Producer on Thorne: Sleepyhead (2010), and Thorne: Scaredycat (2010), starring his brother David Morrissey and Aidan Gillen, as well as Don't Worry About Me (2009) and Dartmoor Killing (2015). In 2010, Morrissey was awarded a Professorship by the School of Mathematics and Computing at Liverpool John Moores University for work surrounding University technology spin-out companies. He is currently the Global Ambassador for the TM Forum with responsibility for Big Data Analytics and Customer Experience, and also the Head of the Data Analytics Group at TM Forum, sitting on their ‘Smart Cities’, ‘IoT’ and ‘5G’ working groups.

Morrissey is the inventor of Problem Derived Innovation Analytics (PDIA), an alternate methodology for the examination of Big Data hypotheses. PDIA utilises modelling attributes from Osterwalder, Lean Canvas and ‘four steps to epiphany’, creating Use Cases which are aligned with several strategic Business principals; Alignment with Strategic Business Direction, Data Analytics Maturity, Business Acceptability, Revenues v Costs, and Executability.

Since 1999, Paul Morrissey has created, enabled, merged, and successfully sold a series of International Telecommunications, Technology Operations, Software and Consultancy practices. Morrissey also continues to act as Non Exec Chairman/Director of several companies in the Cx, Big Data Analytics, Digital Content, and Gaming sectors, and continues to invest in early stage technology business through his Private Equity fund—Livewire Capital.
