Max Mainz
Max Mainz (born 21 April 1997), commonly known under his pseudonym "Soloegg", is a Luxembourgish Entertainer and TV Personality. He rose to fame as the first homosexual contestant of ' the Luxembourgish equivalent to America's Got Talent, which aired on RTL Luxembourg, the country's biggest TV station.
Early life
Mainz was born in Lenglerlach, a village in northern Luxembourg.
At the age of 16, Mainz suffered from a testicular torsion, which resulted in the removal of one of his testicles. Ironically, this inspired him to call himself Soloegg.
At the age of 19, he participated on the national hit show ', being the first openly homosexual contestant to do so. Quickly, he drew the audience's attention, due to his unusual pseudonym and for telling bad jokes at the wrong time. Furthermore, he insulted Isaiah Wilson, one of the contestants at the show, on live television. These minor scandals led to his disqualification in the semi-finals.
Professional career
After the disqualification, Mainz managed to land a few minor roles on Luxembourgish television. After a few months of success however, he was dismissed on March 12, 2017.
