Ajabde had not thought she would be marrying Pratap. She had always wanted Pratap, but that had been as a playmate but not a soulmate. Her childhood fetish soon turned to love and respect when Pratap evaded Marwar from Agra's all powerful leader Akbar. Ajabde's marriage was a co-incidence as Rao Mamrakh Singh wanted Pratap to marry Ajabde and the Rana consented, he too having feelings for Ajabde.
