Logan Williams
Logan Keith Williams is an inventor, academic, scientist, innovator, and businessman from Christchurch, New Zealand. He attended Timaru Boys High School from 2009-2013. He is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of two companies, firstly, Biome Innovation Limited a company which converts Didymo the invasive pest algae into biopaper, bioplastic, and biofabric. Alongside, Projekt V Limited a company which specializes in a range of personalized laser engraved products.
Background
Logan Keith Williams was born in 1995 to his parents Shelley Louise Williams and Keith Allan Williams in Timaru, New Zealand. Logan grew up in Timaru with his two sisters Paige Rose Williams and Madison Louise Williams, where he attended Timaru Boys High School in 2009. Logan later went on to study a Bachelor Degree of Science with First Class Honors at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. Growing up Logan was also a major advocate for mental health and well-being, with an especial focus on depression.
Whilst, studying at the University of Canterbury he received a range of awards including, the Eureka Science and Innovation Regional First Place Prize and a National Award of Merit. Where he presented the biotechnological capability to convert Didymosphenia Geminata into materials.
The Kaikoura Challenge where he produced the concept Kaikoura by Night a set of events including, Coastal Spark, Lights by the Sea and Night Markets. With the goal to regenerate to the economy of Kaikoura after the earth quake devastated their economy.
In 2017, Logan also received first prize in the Eureka Science and Innovation competition as well as the Ministry of Health Gold Scholarship. Where he presented his invention Polar Optics, which included the use of medical grade polarized contact lenses for people who suffer from photosensitive epilepsy. As well as improving the livelihoods of people that suffer from photosensitive vision and are prone to head aches and migraines due to exposure to bright light.

These materials are also biodegradable, environmentally friendly and sustainable with the overarching goal not only to improve New Zealand's environment but also the world over.
Logan Williams is also the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Projekt V Limited a company which specializes in customized laser engraved vape products. With the goal to provide customers with a personalized product which retains sentimental value. The motivation to develop a vape company spanned from the fact it is healthier than the cigarette smoking alternative. Which in turn lessens the rates of carcinogens released into the atmosphere and the rates of second-hand smoke, mitigated by the use of vapes. <ref name="auto"/>
