Liam Stubbs
Liam Stubbs (born in Middlesbrough on 24 January 1970) is a Labour politician in Monmouthshire, South Wales. He is currently Labour's spokesman in the Wyesham ward and a Vice Chair of Monmouth Constituency Party.
Education
Stubbs graduated from Staffordshire University in 1993 with an upper second in International Relations and Politics. He has also studied at Keele University and University of Cumbria.
Career
Before moving to Wales, Stubbs was a Labour Party Officer in Stoke-on-Trent, becoming Secretary of Stoke-on-Trent Central at the age of 26. His political career started in Hartlepool in 1990 before moving on to work in Staffordshire after graduating.
In addition to working in politics, Stubbs has been a Primary School teacher and NHS Manager. He ran a project for young people in a deprived area of the Midlands and has also been a young people's mentor. During his time in the National Health Service (NHS), Stubbs was praised in the House of Commons by Charlotte Atkins M.P. for his work in NHS Dentistry.
Stubbs also founded 'MAD - Me And Dad', Monmouth's first group for Dads and Kids. The group has grown threefold since its inception in January 2012.
Writing
Stubbs also writes on current affairs in Monmouthshire and beyond.
He had previously ghost written articles for a number of publications.
