Lars Mullback

Lars Mullback (born in Karlsborg, Västra Götaland County, in 1961) is an award-winning Swedish entrepreneur, author, journalist, businessman, motivational speaker, film director, theatre director, radio producer, restaurateur and self-described "Christian folk-educator" (Swe. "kristen folkbildare").
Though the bulk of his work deals with his struggles to overcome the physical, psychological, and social limitations imposed on him by his light case of cerebral palsy, in later years he has been known to partake in other debates as well: For example, exposing "reverse sexism" discrimination against men in Swedish custody battles, and taking sides in Sweden's so-called "meat debate" (Swe. "köttdebatten") in the mid-2000s.
According to Mullback, most of these journalistic endeavours have been blocked from reaching a mass audience by the Swedish mass media establishment, thereby forcing him to retaliate by launching his own free, internet-based TV channel, named Café-TV.
On a statement on the homepage of his now-bankrupt restaurant Mullback Café, he proclaims that with the launch of the channel, popular hard-hitting journalistic TV shows like "Uppdrag Granskning" and "Kalla Fakta" will "no longer have a monopoly on public debate" (Swe. "kommer inte längre att ha monopol på samhällsdebatten").
On the same homepage he claims to have recorded seven episodes á 25 minutes each of Mullback Café, sommartankar ("Mullback Café, summer thoughts"), a non-fiction TV-series wherein "known and unknown people" express themselves about "life and the world" (Swe. "kända och okända människor (…) livet och världen"). At least two major Swedish TV channels - SVT and TV4 - were approached with an offer to pick up the final result, but according to Mullback , both channels failed to return repeated requests.
As of March 2009, Café-TV has failed to materialize, and consequently Mullback Café, sommartankar has never been broadcast to the Swedish public.
Biography
Mullback was born in the city of Karlsborg, Sweden, in 1961.
After initially studying psychology, Swedish and cultural studies (Swe. "kulturvetarlinjen"), he turned his attention to radio theatre at Radio Skaraborg. After three hit plays, he took up initial film studies at Kalix Folkhögskola., and then alternated throughout the 1980s between freelancing as a journalist, working with children's theatre and directing his own award-winning short films on his spare time.
At the close of the decade, he moved to Stockholm with hopes of entering Dramatiska Institutet to study to become a full-fledged film director. Famously, he bypassed all the usual auditions and tests through simply walking up to the headmaster of the school and demanding that he'd be accepted, repeating his demand until the headmaster relented. In 1993, having finished his directorial studies, he wrote and directed Illusions, an erotic thriller starring Reine Brynolfsson, Jonna Järnefelt, Anders Ekborg and Claes Månsson. Poking fun at contemporary Swedish movie conventions, Mullback briefly appears in a little-noted cameo, playing himself.
