Jonathan Oquendo
Jonathan "Polvo" Oquendo (born August 8, 1983) is a professional boxer from Puerto Rico. He is trained byRoberto Nevarez.
Oquendo had hoped to compete at the 2004 summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, but he lost during the try-outs for the Puerto Rican boxing team for those games.
Oquendo then decided to become a professional boxer. His first professional fight was a third round TKO victory over Yuniel Ramos on June 25, 2004. As of April 8, 2012 his professional record is 22-2 and he is ranked 33rd in the world among super bantanweights by Boxrec.com.
Oquendo is the first Puerto Rican boxer signed by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.
