Englund was born on a United States military base in South Korea.
Professional career
Englund has been an advocate of cryptocurrency, having served as a former director of communications for The Bitcoin Foundation and vice president of strategy for the Digital Currency Council. She was a major advocate on behalf of bitcoin, having promoted it to the United States Department of Justice and members of the United States Congress. She was ranked #4 on the "Top 40 Women in Bitcoin" list by Coinfilter. She previously worked for Iris Ministries, a faith-based nonprofit organization in Mozambique, and undertook humanitarian work in Mexico and India.
