Jan Anders Nelson
Jan Anders Nelson (born in Houston, Texas, July 18, 1952) is a software engineer at Microsoft, best known for his inventions related to localization, and his contribution to the Multilingual App Toolkit, a set of free tooling which enables developers to add languages to their apps in a user-friendly manner, integrated to Visual Studio. Nelson is also an artist known for his photorealist paintings depicting industrial settings and automotive wreckage. His art has been exhibited in many galleries across the United States, including recent shows in New York City; Houston; Pacifica, California; Manchester, New Hampshire; Portland, Oregon; Bellingham, Washington; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Garnett, Kansas. Nelson grew up with musicians / actors for parents.
