James McPike

James McPike (born 4 October 1988) is a footballer, currently playing for Solihull Moors.
Career
McPike went to Turves Green School and has a younger brother called Mitchell. He joined Birmingham as a 13-year-old from Shenley Radford FC, entering the side's youth system.
McPike was a prolific goalscorer at Under-15 and Under-16 level and was top scorer in the 2004-05 season in the Under-18s while still at school. season. He signed a two-year professional contract on his 17th birthday. At the end of the 2007-08 season McPike was given a Mercedes-Benz by Olivier Kapo after the apprentice spent the season cleaning the Frenchman's boots.
He made one first-team appearance for Birmingham, before a profitable spell on loan at Conference North outfit Solihull Moors. He was released by Birmingham after a succession of injuries, before joining Conference National side Kettering Town.
In September 2009, he rejoined Solihull Moors.
Family
His father Paul was a former professional with West Bromwich Albion.
