Installation permitting guidance for hydrogen and fuel cells stationary applications
The Installation permitting guidance for hydrogen and fuel cells stationary applications (HYPER) EU FP6 project is aimed at developing a fast track approval of safety and procedural issues for small stationary hydrogen and stationary fuel cell applications.. The timeframe is nov 2006 - jan 2009.
The main result of this project is the IPG which is in a public review phase until 12 January 2009 and can be downloaded from the project website. The final version of the IPG will appear online from 1 February onwards.
Codes and standards have repeatedly been identified as a major institutional barrier to deploying hydrogen technologies and developing a hydrogen economy. To enable the commercialization of hydrogen in consumer products, new model building codes and equipment and other technical standards are developed and recognized by federal, state, and local governments.
