ID Two

iD Two (previously iD) was a programming strand airing between 2002 and 2005 on RTÉ Two, running weekdays from 17:00 to 19:00, following The Den. It targeted adolescents, and was as a container for The Simpsons, Home and Away and other imported programming. Presented by Steve Curran and Laura Woods, the programme used modern graphics, fast movement between scenes and other ploys to attract and keep young viewers. Some parts of The Den (Ray D'Arcy era) featured, including reports from Astronomy Ireland. RTÉ rebranded iD as iD Two in October 2004, in line with "Network 2"'s change to "RTÉ Two". It aired for the last time on Friday 16 September 2005, with a replacement called TTV airing for the first time on Monday 19 September.
