Herobed
Herobed is a privately held, U.S. based, e-commerce company that sells hybrid mattresses online. Headquartered in Humble, Texas, the company exclusively sells their products online through their website and the mattresses are manufactured in North Carolina.
History
Herobed launched in October 2016 by Jeff Quinn (previously vice president of stores at Mattress Firm) and Mark Quinn (previously vice president of marketing for Residential Home Furnishings at Leggett & Platt).
In March 2017, the company officially launched and began selling their hybrid mattresses online.
Product
Herobed mattresses consist of six layers of material. From top to bottom, the mattress is made from a knitted fabric cover, cooling gel memory foam, comfort pocket coils (similar to innerspring mattress coils, but more conforming to your body), a transitional foam layer, support coils for underlying support, and a base foam layer. Herobed mattresses are only available for purchase online. Each mattress has been sold with a 100-night return policy and returned mattresses are donated or recycled locally.
Delivery
Herobed mattresses are condensed at the manufacturer and shipped via FedEx in a box a little larger that the size of a minibar for portability. The mattress expands after the unboxing process. The mattresses vary in weight from 65 lbs for a Twin sized mattress and up to 138 lbs for a Cal King sized mattress.
