Introduction (Overview)
George Steuart Travels Ltd is a fully integrated travel company engaged in organising outbound and inbound holidays from and to Sri Lanka.It offers services such as ticketing, accommodation, transportation, visa, travel insurance, corporate tours, MICE, weddings and other services related to travel and destination management. It is a subsidiary of George Steuart Group, the oldest business house in Sri Lanka and one of the oldest mercantile establishments in the world.
George Steuart Travels engages in all service areas in outbound travel management including outbound holiday travel related services for individuals, groups, business travellers and corporates. Its inbound DMC management arm, Steuart Holidays, provides destination management services for individual travellers as well as small and large groups visiting Sri Lanka.
History
George Steuart Travel Ltd was incorporated in 1974 to handle the inbound travel operations of George Steuart & Co. which at the time provided the main source of revenue for the company. In 1986, it was conferred official recognition by IATA (International Air Transport Association) and PATA Pacific Asia Travel Association.

Ticketing
George Steuart Travel Ticketing offers air ticket booking services to its customers; this includes the issuance of air tickets from all the major international and domestic airlines, re-confirmation, re-issues, date changes, re-routes, preferred seating, booking of special meals and any airport assistance.
Outbound
The George Steuart Outbound division undertakes arranging customised tours, adventure tours and holiday packages inclusive of air tickets, visa processing, hotel bookings, guides and ground transport for its customers.
Visa Services
George Steuart Visa Services is specialised in obtaining visas for any country in the world; it assists in the handling of visa applications, obtaining new passports for clients, obtaining extensions on the validity of visas and dealing with other requirements related to emigration and immigration.
Steuart Holidays - Inbound Travel
Steuart Holidays specialises in inbound destination management utilising connections within the travel trade including those with hotels, transport agents, local guides and other suppliers. Offering both ready-made and tailor-made tours, Steuart Holidays organises and manages tours for individual travellers, small groups, weddings, meetings, conventions, exhibitions and sports groups.
