George Kenneth Rajna

George Kenneth Rajna (born November 10, 1965) is a bilingual speech-language pathologist, travel writer, teacher, Peace Corps Volunteer, and a musician who has traveled to over a hundred countries around the world. Born in Los Angeles, California, United States, he graduated from the American University with an M.B.A. in International Marketing and California State University, Northridge with a Master's in Science degree in speech-language pathology.
Peace corps volunteer and teacher
Rajna was employed as a schoolteacher in the Inglewood and Los Angeles Unified School Districts from 1995-1999. Bringing his elementary school teaching experience abroad, Rajna worked as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Paraguay supporting the government educational reform program whereby teachers engaged students with didactic materials, hands on activities, and multi-modal instruction. He instilled programs improving dental hygiene in the local community and facilitated workshops for teachers to assist them in creating and utilizing created materials in the classroom.
Speech-language pathologist
Rajna worked as a speech-language pathologist in the Lennox School District in Lennox, California for six years. He worked with students with varying degrees of autism as well as children with articulation, language and fluency delays. He mentored upcoming clinicians how to effectively treat children with speech and language disorders.
Travel writer
George Rajna is a member of the Travelers' Century Club. He left America in July 2012 and is currently living overseas in Asia.
In 2013 he spoke in Kathmandu in front of members of the Nepal Tourism Board, the press, and associates of the local reading and writing club. During the interview, an excerpt from the travel memoir, Traveling in Sin., was presented to the public. The feature editor conducted an interview which led to a full-page article that was published in the Himalayan Times.
He is a blogger for Huffington Post as well as the Jewish Journal. His first Huffington Post article was a "He Said, She Said" while traveling in Bagan, Myanmar, "One Thing My Wife and I Don't Agree on". Rajna is co-author of the 2013 memoir, Traveling in Sin.
Rajna has also written about his international travels in print for the Himalayan Times about Thailand, as well on Technorati about Sri Lanka and Mexico, and TheClymb about Tonga, and the Jewish Journal about the Maldives and Cartagena, Colombia.
