Fritz Robotic Head
Fritz is an animatronic puppet controlled by a PC application. It was created to provide folks with an inexpensive introduction into controlling a robotic head using a PC. The robot head includes 13 hobby servos that are controlled by an Arduino microcontroller. The Arduino can be controlled via a PC application written in CSharp that interfaces to the Arduino microcontroller via a serial connection. As the robot head included 13 servos, a wide range of expressions can be created by configuring the servos in a specific configuration.
The platform was first introduced via Kickstarter to the general public in March of 2013.
