Cougar Mountain Software

Cougar Mountain Software is a privately held company that produces on-premises accounting software. The company was founded by Bob Gossett in 1982, and his son Chuck Gossett is today the Chief Executive Officer. Cougar Mountain Software specializes in the nonprofit, lite manufacturing, public service, and equipment rental industries, and adheres to all GAAP accounting best-practices. Headquartered in Boise, Idaho, Cougar Mountain Software produces all of its resources in-house including development, sales, marketing and technical support.

* In 1997 the Windows version, called CMS Professional, was introduced.

Products
Cougar Mountain Software produces Denali, an accounting product for small to mid sized businesses and nonprofits. Denali is built in a modular fashion so each accounting modules can be used singly or with any other module, depending on the needs of the user. Denali includes Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger, Inventory Management, Job Costing, Order Entry, Payroll, Point of Sale, and Purchase Order.
Accounting functionality can be extended with the addition of integrated third party applications like Merchant Services, federal or state tax filings, and sales tax calculations.
Cougar Mountain Software previously produced CMS Professional, but this legacy product will reach its end of life in September 2017.
