BR James
BR James born in December 1981 is a UK based Soul and Funk artist, piano player and songwriter whose single releases includes; Don't give up in 2016 and Still Around in 2017 with a more recent album entitled You and Me on a Mission.
Early life
Born in Islington, London to a Nigerian Dad and Gambian mum, BR James is one man with an inspirational story;
Spending his early childhood of his childhood in Nigeria, James would have never thought himself to be a musician. He spent most of his time playing sport as many kids did, but then his grandad passed away leaving an old organ no one seemed to want "I'll have it, James told his parents"
"I remember the first chord I ever played on that organ" said BR James,"they created a warm feeling in me nothing else had ever done"
Music career
BR James' career kicked of in 2010 when Melita Dennett of BBC Introducing the South gave BR James radio play for his single You and Me, the buzz around the air led to an invitation to BBC Maida Vale studios for a masterclass hosted by Mista Jam of BBC Radio 1. Also invited to this event were British rapper Wretch 32 and Angel British RnB singer. Afterwards BR James was invited for a live session] at BBC Sussex which led to BR playing around the country at notable theater stages and festivals such as The Electric Theatre, Guilfest and South Hill Park. In 2015 hosted a night in Guildford of which he shared stage with Reggie of The Xfactor 2015 runners up, leading to the pair tweeting "Top performer"
BR Announced his new album release early 2017 which was followed by a tour of which many venues were sold out.
BR is actively involved in charitable work. He is an advocate for , Releasing a single"Don't Give up" in aid of the charity in 2015 all proceeds from the song went to the work the the charity
