Auad Raphael

Raphael Auad is a Brazilian entrepreneur and a former tennis and volleyball player. He is a Jiu Jitsu blue Belt and the founder of the Boston based newspaper distribution company AMDS.
Early life
Raphael Auad is a former Brazilian volleyball and tennis player and he was born in New York, USA in 1979. After moving to Brazil, he began playing volleyball at the age of 14 and he is now a USA entrepreneur and the founder of the Boston/New York/New Jersey-based newspaper distribution company. Raphael Auad was moved to Boston, Massachusetts, working as a manager, he founded the newspaper distribution company called AMDS The business was later relocated to New York. In 2016. Raphael Auad was also a tennis player and he has a Business Degree and he is also a trained Jiu-jitsu fighter.
Career as an Athlete
Auad began playing High School Volleyball at the age of 14 and, later on, training and playing for the Esporte Clube União Suzano in Suzano, Brazil.
Auad was also played high level Tennis and was trained by coach and former ATP professional player Adriany Carvalho.
He was ranked #41 in the South America Tennis Confederation and #12 in the Paulista Tennis Federation, playing tennis at regional and national levels before his retirement in 2005.
The lack of Federal and State support & sponsorships led him to drop from both sports.
He attained a Business Degree from the University Paulista in Sao Paulo.
Return to USA & AMDS
In 2004, Auad moved to Boston, Massachusetts, working as a manager and logistics & distribution consultant.
In 2012, he founded the newspaper distribution company AMDS.
The business was later relocated to New York. In 2016, he signed a multi-million dollar distribution contract with the Maryland based company PCF Corp.
Other interests & podcast
Auad is a trained Jiu-jitsu fighter, training under Joao Zeferino, Robson Gracie, Neiman Gracie and Jose Chierighini with the Renzo Gracie team in New York. He is current a Blue Belt.
In 2017, Raphael Auad and UFC Fighter Paulo "The Eraser" Costa started the MMA focused Podcast, "MMA Hoje". With several aired episodes and content 100% in Portuguese.
Raphael is also a former investor at the fitness supplement company Onnit.
