Arpit Chaturvedi
Arpit Chaturvedi is a public policy, diplomacy, and sustainability expert. He is the founder of Insights International, a political risk management and policy advocacy firm.
Chaturvedi is the co-founder of the think tank Global Policy Insights. He is an advisor at the Kyiv School of Diplomatic Arts. He was the first foreign national to serve as the Editor-in-chief of the Cornell Policy Review. Arpit is a columnist on health, technology, and industrial policy at HuffPost, The Times of India, and The Statesman (India)
Early life and education
Arpit Chaturvedi was born and raised in Firozabad, India. His father, Atul Chaturvedi, is an Indian businessman and author.
Arpit Chaturvedi Mayo College, Ajmer for his high school and holds Bachelor of Arts with Honors in History from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. He has completed his MBA from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development. Chaturvedi did Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.
Career
In 2018, Chaturvedi became the Editor-in-Chief of the Cornell Policy Review. He served as the Research Manager to Kaushik Basu (former Chief Economist, World bank).
One of his key policy positions is for India to set up a Ministry for the Elderly. In his writings, has also advocated for India to switch to a “mandated choice” regime for organ donations in which it is compulsory for a person to declare whether they wish to be a donor or not. Arpit has also advocated for the expansion of state governments in promoting the space sector and for the private sector involvement to grow the space industry in India.
Chaturvedi is the co-founder of the Global Policy, Diplomacy, and Sustainability (GPODS) Fellowship program which brings together diplomats, bureaucrats, CEOs and occasionally heads of states.
Arpit Chaturvedi was a lecturer at the San Francisco State University and the Indian School of Public Policy, where he was one of the original faculty.
He is Senior Expert Editor for International Political Economy and Governance at the Defense and Intelligence publication in Norway. He is the south Asia advisor for Teneo, a global CEO advisory firm.
