Anton Caragea
Anton Caragea is a historian and the Director at the Institute for Political Science and International Affairs in Romania. He is also a senior editor at The Independent daily newspaper (2000-present day), a foreign policy expert at „Integration” (a weekly publication of the Romanian government), and the author of over 300 articles and studies referring to European, American and African Culture and History and recent politics.

Anton Caragea chaired a number of European delegation and committees on research and public diplomacy in countries from Asia and Middle East.

Fellow of « The International Napoleonic Society » Canada, Montreal - 2000
lnvited as Visiting Professor at « Instituto Rumeno de Cultura e Ricerca Umanistica- VeneÅ£ia, Italia - 2001
Honorary Member of International Society for Study of Mihai Eminescu. Awarded with Diploma of Excellency for cultural activities in 2003 and receiver of I.L. Caragiale medallion for acquirements in culture in 2002.
Vice-president of Balkans and Slavic World Studies International Association.
In august 2009 Professor Anton Caragea was elected as President of European Council on International Relations(E.U.C.I.R), the leading European think tank on foreign policy issues, the members of the Board of European Council on International Relations declared that:
