Aircut
The AirCut is a haircutting product which allows people to cut their own hair at home or on the road. The product, engineered from August 2008 to August 2009, uses a 41 MPH vacuum motor to pull the hair away from the head and cut it while storing it inside the unit for disposal. The AirCut uses a powerful vacuum system into a handheld, compact design. The unit itself is about the size of a hair dryer. The concept was a 17 year dream of inventor Norm Yerke. Marketing and selling began in August of 2009.
The metal blades move back and forth like a scissors. The AirCut ships with nine styling attachments, from 1/2" to 4" and also includes a styler with tapered edges for cutting around the ears or the back of the head.
AirCut haircuts can normally be done in less than 10 minutes.
The AirCut is a product of New Life Ventures, LLC started in 2009 by Norm Yerke and is headquartered in Waukesha, WI. Yerke is a a serial inventor and has started over 16 companies involved in manufacturing, internet selling, retail, and more.
