Abel Sanchez is a radio personality .
Abel is currently heard on New York's WNYZ-LP PULSE 87 and dance station Energy 98.
Abel Sanchez got his start on New York's WKTU, there he was a phone-op/producer, it was there that he established a friendship with Broadway Bill-lee (now doing afternoons on WCBS-FM and his wife Beth Bacall (mid-days on WAWZ/STAR 99.1). Abel give God, Broadway Bill-lee & Beth Bacall credit for his success in radio. Soon there-after Abel landed at WAWZ/STAR 99.1fm, in Zarephath, New Jersey. He started as a part-timer hosting a specialty show called Saturday Night Praise Party, He would mix and host the show from 8pm till mid-night. On his first year Abel was an A.I.R Award nominee for best mix show dj. After the show's second year Abel was moved to a day time weekend slot hosting from 10 am till 3pm within 1 year that time slot went from 21st place to a tie for 4th as rated by Arbitron. Abel was main swing/fill guy commonly heard filling in for the morning show as well as other day parts.
Abel served as WAWZ's full-time production engineer, & the stations imaging engineer. New Jingles were adopted to match the hotter top 40 imaging.
Soon recruited by Vic Latino OM of Jarad Broadcasting's/TMO Radio inc. For his imaging and on air abilities, Abel picked up afternoon drive hosting duties on WBON 98.5 La Fiesta (now owned by JVC Broadcasting) & hosted weekends on sister station Party 105.
Abel was the last station voice of "The World Famous" WLIR fm. In addition, he was Production Director for the three Jarad Broadcasting/TMO Radio inc. Stations cluster, WLIR 107.1, WBON 98.5, WDRE/Party 105.
In 2007, Abel was picked up by Energy 98] to host weekends (voice track).
To keep his foot in the production world, in 2007 Abel launched an audio production website TheProductionDepot.com and began to image and do production for other stations as well as commercial for concert & club promoters.
2008 had its share of opportunities as well, especially with launch of Top 40/Rhythmic dance station WNYZ/PULSE 87 a subsidiary of Mega Media Group
In 2009 Abel became exclusive voice of The Chill Format with fellow friend and ex-co worker Jewelz Lopez.
