Victoria Gomelsky is editor of a trade journal, Couture International Jeweler, and freelance writer in New York City. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Publishers Weekly, the Hollywood Reporter, Escape, The Sun and Waking Up American: Coming of Age Biculturally, an anthology published by Seal Press.

She graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a BA in political science in 1995 and earned her MFA in nonfiction writing from Columbia University in 2002. The Women's Jewelry Association (WJA) honored Victoria with its Award of Excellence for Editorial/Reporting in 2006, while Couture International Jeweler took home the Silver Award for best business-to-business magazine in the retail category at Folio Magazine's 2006 Eddie Awards.

Victoria was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1973 and emigrated to the United States in 1978. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
