Team Beast MMA Training Center

Team Beast MMA Training Center (TBMMA) is a top Mixed Martial Arts academy in the Northwestern United States specializing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Vale Tudo and Wrestling.
The academy was established in March 2009 by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Matthew Barvo, and brought to life with the assistance of Realtor and Business adviser Michael Maras.

Locations
Team Beast has two locations.
The Team Beast Ultimate Training Center is located in Ontario, Oregon. This MMA facility features 1000+ square feet of Jiu-Jitsu mat space, a full sized Hexagon MMA Cage, a 20' practice Boxing Ring, six 6-foot Muay Thai punching bags, six double-end speed bags, extensive Cardio and Weight equipment, a Sauna, and a Hypoxia Fitness Chamber. This is a state-of-the-art training facility, set up with the best equipment and the best instruction, to give you the Ultimate martial arts and fitness experience.
The Team Beast MMA Training Center is located in Eagle, Idaho. This location is available for private and small group instruction of Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. This location features 500 square feet of Jiu-Jitsu mat space, two 6-foot Muay Thai punching bags, a double-ended speed bag, and basic cardio and weight equipment.
Instructors
Matthew Barvo is the Jiu-Jitsu and Fitness Instructor at Team Beast MMA Training Center. He brings ten years of Martial Arts training experience and over five years of instructing experience to Team Beast. He Holds a Second Degree Black Belt in Japanese Jujutsu and a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has trained in Muay Thai Kickboxing, Judo, and Mixed Martial Arts. He is Boise State University's only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor. Matt is a contributor to Submissions 101, the most viewed Jiu-Jitsu tutorial site on the internet. Matt has used his skills to dominate the MMA cage, he holds a 4-1 Pro record and looks to add to his wins in 2009. Matt has also successfully utilized his martial arts knowledge in several real life self defense situations against multiple armed attackers.
Thomas Turner is the Muay Thai and MMA Instructor at Team Beast MMA Training Center. He brings over 15 years of Wrestling experience, 6 years of Muay Thai experience, 5 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience, and 4 years of MMA training to Team Beast. Tommy is a 2-time State Champion Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestler, an undefeated Muay Thai competitor with a 5-0 record, and is currently a Pro MMA fighter with a 7-4 record.
Steve Capps is a champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and undefeated in Mixed Martial Arts. He was recruited to teach the Kids Martial Arts classes at Team Beast.
Classes
Team Beast offers 6 different classes to make students well-rounded martial artists. Our top-notch instructors are qualified to coach you from the beginning stages of training all the way to advanced martial artist. We also specialize in training Professional Fighters, Women and Children.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu - Team Beast offers Gi based Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the traditional belt system, as well as No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, and Wrestling.
Muay Thai - Team Beast offers instruction in Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and traditional Boxing to take your stand up game to the next level.
MMA Fighting Strategies - Team Beast covers all aspects of the MMA game in these intense classes, such as striking, take downs, grappling, submissions, defenses, and cardio conditioning, to make you a well rounded fighter.
MMA Fitness - Team Beast's MMA Fitness classes aren't your ordinary fitness class, you'll see and feel the results after your first class. You'll be using sledge hammers to pound tires, throwing medicine balls, performing pull-ups, flipping tractor tires, pulling sleds, and ripping out abdominal sets.
Women's Self Defense - Team Beast's Self Defense class is inviting to Women of all ages and skill levels. You will learn how to effectively defend yourself against rapists, multiple attackers, knife attacks, gun hold-ups, and muggings.
Kids Martial Arts - Team Beast helps parents finally feel comfortable when their kids are out of site. We've taken the information from Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts and blended it into a class tailored to meet the needs of children, keeping them safe from bullies on the playground and aware of predators on the way home from school.
