Squirrel Horn or Squirrel confectionery is a British manufacturer of candy products, Squirrel Horn is famous for its well-selling brand of floral gums. The company also produces cherry lips.

History
Squirrel Horn was founded some time around the early 20th century. The company has always been well-known for its various famous products, including - Squirrel Horn toffees, Squirrel Horn Dolly mixtures and Squirrel Horn floral gums. Today, The only products produced by the company are floral gums and cherry lips.

Floral Gums
Floral gums are a small, hard candy gum. Suggested by its name, they are floral (flower) flavoured. Floral gums are often described as 'small, hard to chew, gummy and lightly flower scented'. The gums come in a range of colours, including - red, orange, yellow, clear, green and purple.

*Floral gum Ingredients:
Gelling Agent: (Modified Potato Starch), Glucose Syrup, Gelling Agent: Gelatine; Lactic Acid, Flavourings, Colours: E104, E110, E129, E133, E142, Glazing Agents: Vegetable Oil, Beeswax.

These fabulous sweets have a new receipe, looking a bit sun faded, but the colours and flavours. Now: Modified Potato Starch, Glucose Syrup, Sugar, Water, Beef Gelatine, Lactic acid, Vegetable Oil, Natural Colours (Anthocyanins, Paprika Extract, Curcumin), Flavourings, Glazing Agents (Carnauba Wax, Beeswax), Vegetable Concentrate (Nettle).

Purchased some cherry lips and floral gums over the weekend and noticed much paler colour and they didn't taste as good, and sometimes depending where i get them from they can be really soft is this normal.

The flavour and look of the new recipe are very dissapointing. They don't have any flavour and look terrible.

I agree with the above comments, floral gums are rubbish now hardly any distinctive flavours! I've tried looking for Squirrel online to complain but can't find them anywhere!Does anyone know their address??

I need to find this company so I can email them and tell them they better bring back the hold recipe, the new one i not good at all. Stopped eating floral gums now. :(
