Sofia Mendez (born January 2, 1984) is an American actress, singer, voice actress, musician and dancer. Best known for the film 12 Minutes to Heaven.

Early life and education
Born Sofia V. Mendez in The Woodlands, TX. Sofia has had a passion for theater and performing since a child.

Career
Sofia has been in numberous plays at Lone Star College-North Harris, including Unrinetown (2006), The Pillowman (2006) and Reefer Madness (2007).

In 2006 Sofia signed with A.D. Vision and has provided the voice of April in two episodes of Coyote Ragtime Show (2006).

Sofia is currently co-staring with Evan Davis in the upcoming trippy romantic comedy 12 Minutes to Heaven.

She was not born in The Woodlands. She was born in Illinois.

Correction: Sofia Victoria Mendez was actually born in Waukegan, Illinois and moved to The Woodlands, Texas on July 17, 1997. After her BA from Sam Houston State U, her career also included work at Stages Repertory Theatre and J&D Entertainment. (in addition to the above mentioned)

I saw her parents tonight at the opening night for The Winter Wonderettes and was told that Sofia had passed away in October. I am so sadden by this news. Sofia was such a gifted actress and she lit up the stage! I had the honor of being seated next to her father during a performance on her birthday. It was a magical moment for her. I could see the pride in her father's face. And her beautiful mother looks exactly like sweet Sofia!
