Sami Hashmi

Sami Hashmi is a British Liberal Democrat politician, representing Mapesbury ward on the London Borough of Brent Council. Together with Hayley Matthews and Chris Leaman, he took the seat from Labour and the Conservatives at the 2006 local elections. Like local Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament Sarah Teather, Hashmi has called for the abolition of council tax. He sits on Brent Council's Planning Committee and School Organsiation Committee.
