The Million Minute Family Challenge is an national effort to promote interaction and communication among family and friends through playing board games. The first challenge took place in 2001.

From September through December every year, Patch Products sponsors the challenge. The goal is to encourage at least 1,000 families, groups or organizations in each of the 50 states to play a board game together for 20 minutes. That's 1,000,000 minutes. From September through December in 2006, a total of 1,253,770 minutes of game play were logged.

In addition to Patch Products, other supporters who are helping to bring awareness to the Million Minute Family Challenge in 2008 are Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, KOA, Great Wolf Lodge, Blue Harbor Resort and Generations United.
