i love in north sydney, cape breton. we have been hitting poppers here for a few years, (without tobacco SUCKS ASS) . also, it is better to cut a round of tobacco off of a cigarette with a razor, pair of scissors, or cigarcutter. poppers also work better with weed put through a coffeegrinder than busted manually.

I agree with the person abovee... i got kicked outta school, my housee and now i live in welfare. if you look at my tiny apartment, theres ciggs everywhere, and the air smells like popp smoke. im 17, and everyy dream my paretns had for me of actually going somewhere is completely gone, i have 8 credits and pretty much the rest of my life is going to be in poverty. Im 17 and i have worse lungs than my grandpa.. my eyes have sunken in, i used to weigh 110 and i now weigh 87 because i dont eat. my doc says eventually my body is going to begin to eat away my mucles because thats all that is left. ive never felt so depressed,  
and it all started with some tobacco and weed, some innocent fun, people i though were friends.. and a few skipped classes.. 
 
im an example for those who havent hit the bottom yet. ill probably be dead befre im 40..

I know people in the states that smoke poppers, everyone just has a different name. Poppers just happen to be what they are called in the Georgina area and the rest of the GTA. 
I've been smoking poppers for 4-5 years now however. I plan on quitting them soon. I mean I suppose a lot of you were like me not smoking cigarettes at all, just weed. Do you really think your bong is gonna filter out ALL that harmful nastiness in a cigarette?  
 
Also I have a few friends in the Newmarket area who have also smoked poppers for years and we can all feel the longterm aide effects. While these get you way more high, and generally save weed at first, it eventually takes you more to get high and you will become addicted to cigarettes which will make you smoke more - defeating the purpose of saving weed.  
 
If you are reading this and have NOT smoked poppers, I do recommend staying away from them. I already have the date for when I quit, I just can't quit now because of the environmet I'm in.

who cares...poppers are so bad for you...the cannabis smoke missing with the unfiltered tobacco smoke can mess you up...and not in a good way, I had a friend collapse a lung and you can great brain aneurysms. Hey ey ey now I didnt realize poppers isnt internationally recognized and used. 
I started smoking at a northern Etobicoke neighbourhood,Rexdale,in 2007 and have heard about poppers since.Did not commonly use the method. 
I moved to Parry Sound(Muskoka)in mid 2009 and I have heard the word popper flinged about,but not on the same scale as Toronto.Then again that mightve just been my social standing.

ALSO would like to mention that no matter what to number 87.  
first things first you mention god sent you so i'm guessing you don't smoke anything at all where as most of the comments are made by people who do. 
there is tar in weed in ANY way you smoke it and it tobacco too. flitering it through water does sometimes work (which is why people use poppers and bongs) of course i'm not saying they aren't bad for you a friend of mine did them every day all day and ended up getting pneumonia. but my friend is fine now i just would take it easy on them if your reaaally worried.  
but this person didn't show evidence as to why except common knowledge that marijuanna and tobacco contain tar and other chemicals. 
 
p.s making them smaller will still give you your high after a while you will save your weed and be able to cut down and if you so desire eventually quit. 
 
p.p.s if you want to go preach about your dislikes on a different forum enjoy but obviously the message is just futile.

I've smoked pops for about 4 years now and it has not ruined my life. I am in university, with decent grades, I have a part time job, I have a girlfriend whom loves me very much. To be honest if you let that shit be an excuse for sucking, then well yeah you do suck. But if you acknowledge that it's just making you suck more, well then quit, it's hard, Im no advocate for it, but then again I've manged to balance my habit and my life. The first popper I saw was my trip to Whistler loc'n creekside after a day of shred. Im down on them, but im considering quiting. I think they are alot worse for us than we think. And those withdrawals sound sketch^ i watched my friend puke from a toke he coughs out alot of shit and spits frequently I think from cigs also. I asked one today (dont smoke) and ran into a friend. ya, live in newmarket and most weed smokers rip snaps and so did i for about 3 years ive benn off them for about 6 months, it starts by the whole saving your weed ideal but gets you hooked so your smokin them way more often, after school before school and eventually cutting class but i will say that they are most comparible to crack just cuz like crack when the smoke is disapeared so is the headrush and even when your stoned out of your mind you still want the headrush again and again so you keep smoking em everydy till your tolerance is jacked both for weed and tobacco this is is my experience anyway.just quit or accept early death and a shitty 
quality of life from hcking up nasty shit, i know this guy who is 30 and has lost almost half his lung capacity from pops at the rate he is at he will be dead in ten years... death at forty???no thanks, i loved them too but its worse for your health then any of you poplovers think(lungs,brain,other internal organs), you can quit and youll be happy you did beleive it or not...

Around hamilton WE call them yatchs, like a boat. thats what the tobacco and weed part is really called and then without tobacco and just with weed its called a popper. YATCHS started near hamilton ontario, in a small town 15 minutes south.

"poppers" or what we call them which is Dazers because well they daze you, i believe are extemly dangerous and have been almost killing kids in this area from excessive use. i smoke them myself and i wish i didn't. Poppers originally started with yayo, herb and tabacoo. this is known as a yhat and they were the reason dazers started because it is like cheap crack. i am no specialist but here in huntsville i would say the majority of pot smokers also smoke dazers if not dazers are the only thing some people do smoke and several people have been hospitalized after only 2 years of excessive use.  
if you can quite, i suggest you do and never pick it up again.

This is a public service announcement. Poppers have become an epidemic in Southern Ontario. They are physically addictive, due to the tobacco smoke. I have no problem with marijuana. I smoke marijuana. While I realize that tobacco is not good for you, I smoke cigarettes also. However, poppers are worse for you than either substance. They mix the addictive properties of tobacco with the inebriating properties of marijuana, to form the dirty monster that is a popper. I have hit a few poppers in my life. I agree, the effects are very nice. Moderation is key though, kids. I have many friends who I have been forced to cut ties with because of poppers. All they do is sit in their rooms, don't eat, and hit close to 40 poppers a day. They are fiends, just like a crack or a heroin addict. They are all in denial about their addictions, using the excuse, "it's just weed man. nobody's ever died from weed". Despite this statement being true, I strongly believe that this generation will have many more young people dying at an early age, solely because of poppers. 18 year old kids, spitting up black phlegm, getting thinner every day. i live in nova scotia, and the only reason i know about em is from friends in ontario. i have been addicted to this demon for about 4-5 years. i started when i was 16 and now im 21 and going nowhere.i love poppers, but they are the same reason why have the people i know gave up on me.

The Canadian national media has to be informed of poppers. I personally do not agree with the "War on Drugs" at all, but this has nothing to do with that. People use drugs, because drugs are fun. Poppers, while fun, are dangerous. I am surprised after all these years of poppers being in existence that authorities haven't heard of them. Neither marijuana nor cigarettes are the problem. The problem is the joining of the two in the unfiltered blast of smoke resulting in a popper. Hitting a popper is like smoking an entire cigarette, in one second. No one knows where the rockers/poppers/thai hoots, what ever you named them. People are gunna think of this shit on their own. Everyone i know started cause my buds in highschool wanted to quit the herb and they picked up smokin straight tobacco out of the bong. We named them headrockers cause they shook our domes. Over the next 5-8 years i have heard of more people picking it up. It's an epidemic in my opinion. They rip apart your lungs and the way you feel after cannot be good for brain or body. I have been rockin for a long time now and i can't stop, iv smoked cigarettes before and rockers are more addicting in my opinion.
