Although the Playstation 3 has Full HD 1080p output, most games available at this moment have resolutions up to 720p. It should be noted that the PlayStation 3 will downgrade the display of any game that only supports 720p to 480p on an HDTV that displays only 480i, 480p and 1080i signals, instead of upscaling the display to 1080i. Killzone2 can do upscaled to 1080p via switching off 720p and 1080i. just to sort that out. p.s I think gta4 is default 1080p upscaled but without the need to change anything (have all resolutions available).

Very helpful list indeed.
Strangely Burnout Paradise which can be unscaled to 1080i does not mention that on the rear cover of the Blue Ray box. It only says "720p". I did read that "Criterion" added this feature to their "Ultimate Box", but again no mention of it.

this list isn't useful because it includes games that are upscaled to 1080p. EVERY GAME EVER can be upscaled to 1080p, by your monitor, if not by the PS3
