Jamie Dawson (born; December 11, 1975) is an English/American musician. He is known as the drummer for Rock band The Thieves.
Biography Early Life and Career Jamie was born in Oxford, England. Jamie received his first drum kit when he was ten playing to songs from T-Rex and The Doors. At that time, he was listening to Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Judas Priest. At High School Jamie joined bands and played small venues in small towns. He soon became one of the best drummers in his school. He had his first born child at 17, who they named Tyler Dawson (also a drummer]].
Narco After Jamie's second born child, he joined band Narco in 1998. They spent most of 1998 writing songs and performing in small venues in Oxfordshire. They soon produced their first album in 1999. The band began to get bigger around the area. Shortly after the first album they began to play bigger shows around Oxfordshire and London. they produced their second album in 2000. The secess of the album, got the band a spot in concert V2000. The band soon produced their third album and did some soundtracks to video game Driver 3. Jamie left the band when he moved to California to join band The Thieves.
The Thieves Jamie moved to California after his second son was born in 2002. The band played venues down the Sunset strip. They soon got a record deal with liquor and Poker Music. They soon produced first album One Eyed Poker. A year later the band produced second album Tales From the Whiteline, which became popular with the media. They went on the Whiteline tour of America, in which Jamie met his future wife, Michelle. after going on tour the band produced their third album Where the bright light blooms. Shortly after the release of the album, Jamie left the band to settle down with his wfe and kids, but he still works with the band when they play in California. The band adventurly split up.
Acting Jamie now does acting part time in California. He has been in a few films including Through your eyes, Fuzzball and The Pig People staring Lil Romeo. He also has started taking parts in theatre acts such as Hamlet and To the Hevans.
Personal life Jamie has three children Tyler, Georgia and Oscar, and he currently lives in California with his wife Michelle. He now teaches drums and does part time acting. He is good friends with ACDC drummer Chris Slade and English rock band .
