InterModule is an Open-source, freeware software project hosted on SourceForge. It was formed in 2008 by Delan Ahmad, after merging with the WebGEEK JavaScript API group. Its current main project is called the InterModule JavaScript API, a remake of the WebGEEK JSAPI.
InterModule JavaScript API
The InterModule JavaScript API is a JavaScript library of functions that enable developers to use and programm in JavaScript in a consistent, simple fashion. It was formerly named WebGEEK JavaScript API (written by Delan too), but was then merged into the InterModule umbrealla project in June 2008. The first official (and latest) version under the InterModule name is 1.0.230.beta1.20080701 or 1.0.230.b1.20080701 for short. There were no official releases under the WebGEEK project, although if you look at the WebGEEK JS API project, you'll find a few file releases. The version naming system is quite simple, with the following format: major.minor.build.status.date. It is part of the InterModule project on SourceForge, which will include other projects of InterModule software. Differences with other APIs There are a few main differences between this API and other APIs like PrototypeJS and ExtJS. It is modular, allowing you to add and remove 'module' files, with new and unique functions. They can also be removed, cutting down loading time, and reducing overheads from unneeded functions. Multi-language support is also provided, in practically the same way as the modules. They can too be added and removed easily, although the initial release only included English-Australia as a language (you can add more).
